Abbie Jean Gunning was the first Auxiliary President. In 1960, the first scholarship in her honor was awarded. Following integration with »Ê¹Ú¶ÄÇò HealthCare, the scholarship was renamed the »Ê¹Ú¶ÄÇò Saint Clare Health Career Scholarship. The Morine Scholarship is an award bequeathed by Harold Morine in 1981 in memory of his wife, Marilyn Morine, who was a nurse at Perry Memorial Hospital. The Pierson Nursing Scholarship is an award bequeathed in memory of Hilma S. Pierson, Ralph H. Pierson and Martha J. Pierson for those pursuing a nursing career.
Scholarships are available to students who will be graduating from high school or are enrolled in a post-secondary school, community college, college or university, current »Ê¹Ú¶ÄÇò Saint Clare Mission Partner or immediate relative of an »Ê¹Ú¶ÄÇò Saint Clare Mission Partner in a health care or nursing career. Applicants must reside in Bureau County.
We encourage those returning to school for advanced education in health care to apply for a scholarship award. Applicants must have a permanent residence within Bureau County and be pursuing a health care career, including but not limited to, nursing, radiology, lab technology, physical therapy, occupational therapy or pre-med.
