The »ΚΉΪΆΔΗς Saint Paul Community Board and staff are honored to work with caring individuals who volunteer their time, talent and/or treasure to make a positive difference in the health of our community.
Whether you are a volunteer or foundation donor, we thank you for helping us provide exceptional care to the hundreds of patients and their families who need healing, help, and hope each year.
And we are always looking for more individuals with warm hearts and helping hands to join the »ΚΉΪΆΔΗς Saint Paul extended family of caregivers.
Volunteer opportunities for all ages are available through »ΚΉΪΆΔΗς Saint Paul Medical Center. When you are a volunteer, you will work with those like you who want to reach out and help others—it’s a positive, rewarding, and fun experience.
»ΚΉΪΆΔΗς Saint Paul Medical Center Gift Shop
The »ΚΉΪΆΔΗς Saint Paul Medical Center Gift Shop, is open Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m.– 4:00 p.m.
The gift shop depends on volunteers to work in the shop. There will be times in the gift shop benefit the hospital.
The Gift Shop has a wide variety of gift items for men, women, and children. In addition, the gift shop carries:
- Gift items
- Cards
- Novelties
Greeter and Escort Team
As a friendly guide, you’ll welcome patients and visitors to the hospital by providing directions, answering questions and escorting people to their destinations on foot or by wheelchair.
Patient Hospitality Ambassador
These volunteers help make a patient’s stay at the hospital a more pleasant experience. As an ambassador, you’ll provide personal attention in an unhurried manner by performing small but meaningful tasks. These tasks may include passing trays or water, providing a warm blanket, sitting with a patient, assisting with patient discharges, doing environmental rounds, answering the phone, stocking supplies and light cleaning. This helps relieve the nursing staff so as many patients as possible can receive the highest level of individual attention and care.
Meals on Wheels
As a Meals on Wheels volunteer, you’ll bring more than just nutritious meals – you’ll provide a safety check and a much-needed human connection to homebound seniors. On the day of your shift, you’ll pick up pre-packaged meals and delivery route details from Nutrition Services at »ΚΉΪΆΔΗς HealthCare Saint Paul Medical Center in Mendota before heading out to make their deliveries. Volunteers use their own vehicles to bring meals directly to those in need.
