PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency

Our pharmacy team is pleased to offer our Pharmacy Practice Residency.

Our PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency program is accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP).

We are a diverse team of pharmacists providing inpatient services to multiple clinical zones, including adult, pediatric, and critical care, across the »Ê¹Ú¶ÄÇò Saint Francis Medical Center and »Ê¹Ú¶ÄÇò Children's Hospital of Illinois campus.

We are committed to providing a broad experience to equip our residents for their future careers.

PGY-2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency

Our pharmacy team is pleased to offer our Pediatric Pharmacy Residency Program.

We are a diverse team of pharmacists dedicated to providing high quality care to pediatric patients at the 160-bed »Ê¹Ú¶ÄÇò HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois. We are the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate, with an outpatient and inpatient pediatric oncology and hematology service. We also have a Congenital Heart Center and a nationally ranked Level IV neonatal intensive care unit. We are the only hospital in Illinois outside of Chicago with a pediatric specific emergency department.

Opportunities are available to pursue a teaching certificate and precept both APPE students and PGY-1 residents.

Our mission is to offer a broad range of pediatric experiences to prepare residents to succeed in their future pediatric pharmacy careers and to pursue BCPPS.

PGY-2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency

Our pharmacy team is pleased to offer our Critical Care Pharmacy Residency Program.

We are a diverse team of pharmacists providing high level critical care at a tertiary level referral center with six intensive care units, including:

  • Cardiac
  • Medical
  • Neonatal
  • Pediatric Cardiac
  • Pediatric Medical
  • Surgical

We also have two emergency departments, including a pediatric specific one, and are a Level 1 Trauma Center. Additional opportunities exist to practice in a nationally recognized and innovative eICU.

Opportunities are also available to pursue a teaching certificate and precept both APPE students and PGY-1 residents.

Our mission is to offer a broad range of critical care experiences to best equip our residents for their future careers in Critical Care Pharmacy and prepare for their Critical Care Pharmacy Certification (BCCCP).
